I've been truckin' along in my second year in art school, focusing on printmaking. It's getting close to the end of the semester and I am planning on doing some uploading soon of the prints I have been working on.

I love printmaking. This is where I wanted to focus on my fellow stencil artists (many of who are way better than me ) Mostly what I love about stencils is that they are reproducible. You can make several copies and sell them at a lower cost because they are relatively easy to reproduce.

AND there is a great satisfaction in being able to experience that high (not a fume-related high haha) from being able to pull out a decent reproduction several times. It makes all the work going into the stencil feel more "worth it".

That being said, printmaking is the same thing for me. I can spend a ton of time on a concept and working it out, and then have the satisfaction of being able to reproduce it over and over.

So I highly recommend taking a printmaking class to any stencil artist out there, even if you can't use a copper plate to tag stuff (unless you want to wheat paste your prints!)

I didn't know anything about printmaking before I explored it and now I love it.
